UK officials lie in the name or repression

The following articles, all from a rather middle-of-the-road British newspaper, serve to confirm that the UK  is on the road to fascism, just like the Unigted States.

In the first few articles, we see that the UK tortures or outsources torture and then denies that it is doing anything of the sort. Will Jacqui Smith and other government officials be held to account for their lies?

In the next we see Jack Straw, Tony Blair, Admiral Michael Boyce (Defence Chief of Staff) and Jonathan Powell (Cheif of Staff) push an illegal invasion of Iraq. Will Tony Blair and the rest be indicted?

Meanwhile, UK police chiefs, actually a sort of private militia, are using public money to spy on non-violent activists. See the fully referenced version of this article. Who will bring charges against the police for their violation of civil liberties, their sabotaging of democratic protest and their setting up people for arrest?
