米国で反戦、社会問題を歌って著名なフォーク・シンガー
＆活動家デヴィッド・ロビックス氏が、夏に日本でツアー
をします。東京では2日、7月21日（土）と22日（日）です。
反戦・社会問題サイトの「東京プログレッシブ」、新宿の
インフォショップIRA、日英語によるフィルム＆ディスカッ
ショングループ「スプリング」やその他の知人と共に準備
した手作り企画です。入場料がそのままデビッドの演奏料
＆旅費になります。みなさま、ぜひぜひ聞きにきてくださ

デヴィッド・ロヴィックスさんはアメリカ、ニューヨーク生
まれのシンガーソング・ライターです。音楽を通じて「プロ
グレッシブ・ムーブメント」を代表する一人として活躍して
います。
９０年代半ばから北米、ヨーロッパ、南米、中東のプロテ
スト（抗議集会）などでコンサートを行ってきました。
イラク戦争、グローバル化、地球温暖化など様々な社会問題を
歌にしています。
ノーム・チョムスキー、ハワード・ジン、ラルフ・ネーダーや、
平和運動家らともステージを共にしてきました。「反戦の母」
として知られるシンディー・シーハンさんとも数々のプロテス
トで共に活動し、イラク戦争で亡くなった彼女の息子ケイシー
についての曲も書きおろしています。
アルバム『Return』には原爆に対する悲しみと怒りを歌った
『ヒロシマ』も収録、2005年5月の核不拡散再検討会議の際、
ニューヨークを訪問した被爆者と５千人の聴衆を前に歌われま
した。2007年夏は広島・長崎の平和集会で歌うほか東京、宇部、
京都、大阪のライブハウスなどでも公演します。
