Memory Productions, founded by David Rothauser, will premiere their latest film,  “Article 9 Comes to America,” at the United Nations NPT Conference on May 14, 2015. We are seeking funding to complete editing the one hour documentary featuring interviews with Noam Chomsky, Helen Caldicott, Freeman Dyson, John Dower, Hideki Yoshikawa, Peter Kuznick, Ann Wright and a host of others from the Global Article 9 Conference in Osaka.

Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom and Veterans for Peace have made tax deductible donations, but we need more to complete the film by May. Sponsors will be included in all our publicity, speaking engagements, media coverage, etc.

As you know, Aricle 9 was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014.  They are now seeking re-nomination for 2015. The resulting publicity can only be positive for peace groups supporting Article 9. Join this powerful movement to bring America into the global sphere to abolish war making as an economic/political tool. Heiwa.

To contribute to the editing of this film:

For tax deductible contributions people should send a check made payable to : The Community Church of Boston, c/o David Rothauser, 1482 Beacon Street, #23, Brookline, MA 02446, USA.  IN MEMO BOX INDICATE: “ROTHAUSER ARTICLE 9 FILM.”

David Rothauser has many numerous contributions to peace and social justic through hiw work in film. He is founder of MEMORY PRODUCTIONS, an independent film company which produced his original screenplay, The Diary of Sacco and Vanzetti, broadcast on WGBH-TV in 2004 and again in 2005. In May of 2010 David completed a feature documentary about Japanese, Korean and American survivors of the Hiroshima-Nagasaki atomic bomb attacks. The film premiered at the United Nations in NY where Secretary General Ban Ki-moon requested  copies for the Disarmament Education Department.

As a social activist David helped organize a curriculum course at Hunter College in NY with sociology professor Alfonso Pinckney called Violence In American Society. Subsequently he taught his own course at Newbury College in Massachusetts called War & Peace: America in Vietnam, spoke publicly on war and peace issues and organized Model UN sessions with students. His articles about war and peace has been published in the Hiroshima Media Peace Center, the PanOrient News, the Christian Science Monitor and Z magazine.

With Satoko Norimatsu of the Vancouver Peace Philosophy Center, David founded a blog, ANNINA, Article Nine Network in North America. Article Nine is part of the Japanese Constitution (written by American occupation officials in 1946) that forbids Japan to ever make war again.
