You can find better reporting in Isarel on the issue. The deaths of civilians is always criminal, but most Americans do not see the deaths that Israel’s military imposes on Palestinians, both trhough the bombing and the calulated policy to starve the Palestinians by denying them aid and stopping humanitarian aid from reaching them, even going so far as to raid ships and kill peace activists.
